oops, sorry, missed your poll (there are too many very old polls in
the poll section).... but yesterday (9/4) I saw a Great Horned Owl,
while on a trail in Lisbon, CT.

Not on your list, but we saw a tiny little porcupine a couple of
months back.

And of course, snakes. Lots and lots of snakes. My team members
love to do an impression of me looking under a bridge only to find a
snake staring back at me. It involves them dancing in place, while
yelling "Agh! A snake! A snake" and then collapsing in hysterics.

I think I've seen just about every animal available in this state, some I've seen many times. I saw a Deer Sunday that was missing the lower part of hits hind leg and was still running around. There was also the one I hit with my truck while returning from a trip.

Every once in a while in Texas while hiking, we will see a "smart
armadillo". For those of you that don't know what I mean, it is an
armadillo that is still alive! Usually you see them as the "Texas
speed bump" .... partially flattened on the road.

"Texas speed bump"? Naw, that's 'possum-on-the-half-shell, LOL! :-D

Just a small FYI.....

Here in northern IL, the Easter Bunny is most certainly alive & well &
generally residing in Kane County.

Sounds like we have the same "smart" oppossums here in the Pacific
Northwest as in Texas.

Why did the oppossum cross the road?

Nobody knows. None of them ever made it!
